Nifty little heater. Works well. The heater itself heats up fast, and takes the bite out the air fairly quickly.

Currently using this in my lounge in the evenings, and it's done well for me. doesn't get the room boiling hot, but it takes the bite out the air. it's a heater that's meant to be used for slower heating over a longer time. so, pop it on an hour or two before the cold really kicks.

love the 3 heat settings. I usually heat the unit up on high for 10 min, and then let it run on the first heat setting for the evening. this only uses about 600 watt's when maintaining its temperature.

Speaking of watts, because it's low heat setting uses only 600 watts, i use this heater even when the generator is on, because it's wattage is low enough for my generator to handle combined with what else I require to be on. it also stays warm for quite a while after it's been turned off.

I haven't used the timer function as yet, because the clock runs on electricity (not on a battery) and with the constant loadshedding, it's impossible to keep the clock timer correct meaning that the second we go through a 2 hour loadshedding session, the timer is delayed by those 2 hours. however, if loadshedding was not a factor, it would be the perfect way to set the heater to warm up for an hour or two before you needed it.
