Do not be misled by the woodalike base. In real life it is a darker brown and real plasticky. However, the price and design makes up for that. The very top part is a lid, which lifts off so one can replenish the water and oil. On my other diffuser the whole top lifts up, which always lead to water spills (condensed water in it) around the diffuser. Not the case with this one because of the lid.
What is not said or shown is that it also comes with a clear dome, which fits over the white dome. Extra protection. Looks neat.
Functionally it does what is claimed. No complaints at all.
A great buy at the price and design imho.
